LONG BEACH PRESS TELEGRAM SIGNS ON AS MEDIA SPONSOR
-- One of Southern California's oldest newspapers (100+ years of publishing), the Long Beach Press Telegram, has signed on with SCMA to become the official media sponsor of the boat show.  With over 100,000 daily circulation, the Press Telegram and its sister publication, the Daily Breeze, have pledged to throw their full support behind the boat show including a generous ad space commitment and greatly expanded Internet exposure.

For those of you who didn't get to the San Diego Yacht and Boat Show in July, here's a brief look at what went on. Ideal weather, an incredible corral of luxury motor yachts and sailboats (best in the seven year history) plus exceptional support by the exhibitors and boat show committee members really allowed this boat show to exceed everyone's expectations. Great job San Diego!!

The Long Beach Yacht and Boat Show tradition continues, September 9-12, forty-two consecutive years of boat shows produced in Long Beach by the Southern California Marine Association and presented by the Automobile Club of Southern California. The Long Beach Yacht and Boat Show at Shoreline Village Marina is one of the West Coast's largest in-water and outdoor boat shows featuring hundreds of new and brokerage motor yachts, cruisers, sailboats, fishing boats, performance sportboats, family trailerables, ski boats, pontoons, inflatables and personal watercraft. Boaters looking for accessory products and related marine services won't be disappointed as the Long Beach Yacht and Boat Show also offers a wide assortment of name brand companies showcasing marine electronics, hardware, safety equipment, insurance and financing.

Please mark your calendars accordingly.  The 55th Annual Los Angeles Boat Show will be held starting Wednesday, March 16th through Sunday the 20th at the Los Angeles Convention Center, South Hall.  The 2011 L.A. Boat Show is  approximately three weeks later than usual in order to avoid venue and traffic  conflicts with other special Downtown Los Angeles scheduled events, and to be closer to the start of the new boating season.  Exhibitor information packets will be available shortly.  Please contact the SCMA office at (714) 633-7581 for details.
